Another fun yet simple idea is homemade jam. Store-bought jam can be full of sugar, some popular brands containing more than 3 teaspoons per serving. Now having sugar won't kill you but since fruit contains sugar naturally, there's no need to add absurd amounts. Some popular brands don't even contain real fruit! 3. Homemade Infused Olive Oil


More into savory than sweet? Why not surprise someone with a unique olive oil? In an effort to pretend your home is the restaurant, special olive oil can add a certain elegance to your home cooked meal. Especially when stored in a cute jar!
