Our fave home equipment

Updated: Oct 29, 2020

You don't need much to get started at home. Just having a body is enough! But if you do want more, here are some of our fave tools...

So you're working out at home and you're enjoying it! You're ready to make your space more effective, so let's go over some must have tools:

1. A good mat.

Grip, the right thickness and of course: pretty! Some of our favorite brands are Manduka and DOIY Design.

2. Imagination

You can do a lot without weights by using things you probably already have at home. Replace light weights with cans, bottles of water or bottles of wine. Find heavy tree branches in your garden to serve as weights. Fill your backpack with books and use it as a kettlebell. Use your broom and hang a bucket on each side filled with water, rocks, books,.. and voila you've got a bar bell. Use wooly socks or towels as sliders. Replace bolsters or blocks with pillows. Use your couch, a bench or a chair as step. Get creative!

3. Props

If you are ready to invest in some "real" equipment, start with:

- Dumbbells. Choose a light and a heavy pair.

- Elastic Bands. You can choose various types, but get booty band and a longer band for arm & shoulder exercises.

- Kettlebells. If you really miss the weights at your gym, adding a kettle bell to your collection will add some fun to your strength workouts.

- A yoga bolster, 2 blocks and a strap.

4. A cute outfit

It doesn't matter if you live alone or not, but wearing a cute outfit could motivate you to JUST DO IT ;-)

ps: As a Bodhiac member you get a discount code for some of our favorite fitness & yoga brands. We also host giveaways on our instagram quite often, so stay tuned!
